The pandemic has underscored the fragility of many of our systems, particularly health and food, revealing an urgent need for both immediate solutions and long-term systemic resilience. As a result, SVI has shifted its priorities to enable us to serve as a significant resource for the community at this critical time.
SVI’s new organizational priorities will deploy 75% of staff resources to strategic rapid response efforts and 25% on longer-term systems change initiatives. These priorities will be reviewed at the end of Q2.
SVI will provide community support by leveraging its strengths:
We measure our impact against the pillars of our mission: economic resilience, ecological resilience and social resilience, as well as what is identified by our community. Its needs and priorities are ours, too.
Thank you for being part of our SVI community as we all work to adapt to our rapidly changing world and to forge a better future, together.
